Electricity on a grand scale
Eight reservoirs and thirteen hydroelectric power plants operated by Kraftwerke Oberhasli AG (KWO) produce energy from hydroelectric power.

Small but mighty hydroelectric power station
The Chalet-Hotel Schwarzwaldalp has been supplied with electricity from its own hydroelectric power station for over 100 years.

Generating energy from wood
With CO2-neutral district heating from local woodchips, Holzwärme Grindelwald supplies over 50 hotels, public buildings and private households with thermal energy.

Photovoltaic system on the roof
In connection with the construction of the new Grindelwald-Männlichen gondola cableway, a photovoltaic system was built on the roof of the Männlichen mountain station to generate electricity.
