Hiking with children: our themed trails

You might assume that hiking will be boring for children, but it needn’t be! Especially not when you go on the Jungfrau Region’s themed trails! Mürren has three play, puzzle and knowledge trails for visitors of all ages.

Children's Adventure Trail - Mürren

From Mürren, you can reach the Allmendhubel in just a few minutes. It’s a very popular destination for days out. The funicular takes you directly to the Flower Park adventure playground. While the kids have fun on the fantastic play equipment, parents can sip a coffee at the restaurant next door and enjoy the views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Detective Trail (2 hours 30 mins)

The Detective Trail is an exciting puzzle trail for the whole family. This easy trail takes you from Grütschalp to Mürren via Winteregg. There are 16 puzzles to solve along the way, helping you learn about mountains, plants and animals. If you have all the correct answers at the end, you will get the correct numerical code you need to open the lock on the treasure chest.

Northface Trail

The name says it all. On this two-hour hike, you can marvel at the majestic north faces of the Bernese Alps. You will see some of them on the information boards and others in real life. The trail starts in Mürren, takes you to the Schiltalp and the Suppenalp and then finishes on the Allmendhubel.
