3 Power Locations

No noise, no stress – just nature and you...

So-called power locations donate energy to the visitor, at least that is what esoteric teachings promise. But even those who don't believe in it - these 3 special places are simply enchanting in any case:

#1 Engstlensee

Water has a calming effect on many people. Whoever visits Engstlensee, which is surrounded by Swiss stone pines, will experience this directly.

From Meiringen a bus runs through Gental to Engstlenalp. Those who come by car pay a fee for the trip. But you can also reach Engstlenalp by a nice hike, for example from the Alpen tower (Skyline trail).

If you want to spend a little more time up here, you can book a room in the rustic mountain hotel Engstlenalp. With a small number of rental boats, you can go fishing and rowing - so you can experience the lake and nature even closer.

#2 Upper Lauterbrunnen Valley

The Upper Lauterbrunnen Valley is under cantonal protection. And rightly so: With its magnificent high alpine landscape and many waterfalls it fascinates visitors. Since it is a little far away from well-known excursion destinations and not easily accessible by train, it also remains a small paradise and a real insider tip.

From the Upper Lauterbrunnen Valley there are numerous hiking tours possible, on which you usually meet few people and find your peace in nature. An overnight stay at the Hotel Obersteinberg is also nice.

Those who like mountain lakes will also get their money's worth here: with a hike to lake Oberhorn.

#3 Sulwald

The red cult train takes you from the sunny mountain village of Isenfluh up to Sulwald. The cabin can accommodate eight people - or one cow.

Up here the view opens up into the Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen valleys, to the Schynigen Platte and who would have thought it: to the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. If you want to go higher up, you can start a hike to the Lobhorn Hut or the lake Sulseeli from here. Another highlight is the Nature, Legends and Power Trail.

For those who can't resist it and need some action: With the Monster-Trotti you can speed back into the valley.

Even if you don't "feel" anything - with a trip to these places you at least change the grey of the city with the colors of nature and enjoy a nice day outside. So, there is nothing to lose.
