Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe

The highest railway station in Europe - and much more.

The Jungfraujoch is located in the centre of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. Snow and ice are 100 per cent guaranteed here. The Sphinx observation building, the Ice Palace or the plateau for walks in the eternal snow are year-round attractions. In summer, various adventure programmes provide fun in the snow.

The Jungfraujoch has the highest railway station in Europe and has four restaurants, a cafeteria, shops and souvenir shops.

The highest permanently manned research and weather station in Europe is also located on the Jungfraujoch.

The summer ski and snowboard park, the Snow Disk Run, a Tyrolienne and the Glacier Trek - hiking across the glacier on your own - are just some of the many activities on the Jungfraujoch.

The Jungfraujoch is also the starting point for the mountain hike to the Mönchsjochhütte and for numerous guided high-mountain ski tours and glacier hikes.
