With the post bus directly into the tobogganing fun - after a leisurely ride through the spectacular Reichenbach Valley, the fast-paced tobogganing fun begins at the foot of the mighty Wetterhorn.
Thanks to its remote location and reliable snow conditions, the Reichenbach Valley with Rosenlaui and Schwarzwaldalp is a paradise for touring skiers, snowshoe hikers and sledders in winter. The iconic post bus takes you to the starting point on the Grosse Scheidegg. The road leads through a wildly romantic landscape covered in deep snow. A fun-filled toboggan ride through the unique natural landscape finally takes you to Schwarzwaldalp. The route with a pleasant incline is suitable for beginners and experts alike. With the day ticket, you can take the post bus back up to Grosse Scheidegg as often as you like and enjoy further toboggan rides.

The Chalet-Hotel Schwarzwaldalp offers a fondue chinoise taxi service on selected Fridays in winter. The cosy rooms invite you to turn a day trip into a stay of several days. For winter hikers, the fairytale-like Rosenlauital can also be ideally explored on foot. The walk around Gschwandtenmad or the snowshoe tour towards Grosse Scheidegg is highly recommended.

Getting There
Public transport
Thanks to its central location in Europe, Switzerland is served by international trains from over 12 countries. Within Switzerland, Intercity trains run directly from Basel and Lucerne to the Jungfrau Region. Travellers from Zurich have to change in Berne. The trains run every half hour.
Getting there
There are different ways to reach the region by car. The fastest way from Basel and Geneva is via Berne. The fastest route from Zurich is through Lucerne and the Brünig Pass. The pass is open in summer and winter.
Snow chains or all-wheel drive are required for the journey to Schwarzwaldalp. There is a general driving ban from Schwarzwaldalp.
The municipality of Meiringen has 835 public parking spaces in the village centre and at the valley station of the Meiringen-Hasliberg mountain railways. All parking spaces are operated daily (including Sundays) from 08.00 to 19.00 hours by means of parking meters. Except for the Casino AEH (multi-storey car park), which is operated 24 hours a day.
