World Snow Festival
Ice-cold art in the Eiger village - see you in 2022!
Due to the coronavirus pademy we are forced to cancel the World Snow Festival 2021. We look forward to welcoming you again next year!
Grindelwald will host the 39th World Snow Festival this winter. It is a celebration of ice-cold art, where international artists design figures and sculptures out of 3 metre high blocks of snow. The festival takes place on January 17-22, 2022 and the theme is "Mountains".
During 5 days the teams work on their sculptures from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. You can watch the teams at work until the sculpture is finished. In the ski resort Männlichen, teams ork daily from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm to creat the impressive sculptures from snow.
10 teams of 9 different nations will be taking part to the 2020 World Snow Festival in Grindelwald. More details on the teams will be coming soon.
