The facilities of KWO, Kraftwerke Oberhasli AG, form one of the most complex hydropower systems in the Alps. Since its foundation in 1925, 13 power plants, eight reservoirs, 160 km of tunnels, hundreds of kilometres of pipelines as well as roads and cable cars have been built in numerous construction stages. Every year, the KWO produces electricity from hydropower for more than 1 million people. The KWO gives you an exciting insight into the world of hydropower. You can visit the power plants in summer and winter.
