At 3,454 metres above sea level, the station on the Jungfraujoch is the highest railway station in Europe. The route runs through a seven-kilometre-long tunnel through the Eiger and Mönch mountains. Once you arrive at your destination, you’ll find yourself in the midst of a wonderland of ice, snow and rock.
In 1969, the Schilthorn was the filming location for the James Bond classic *On Her Majesty’s Secret Service*. What is now the 360° revolving restaurant served as the base for the villain Blofeld and was given the name Piz-Gloria, which it has retained to this day.
High above the Haslital valley, at an altitude of 2,250 metres, stands the majestic Alpen Tower. The 360° panoramic view is unrivalled. From here, in good weather, you can see far beyond the Bernese Oberland and the Central Swiss Alps.
The Royal Walk takes you from the mountain station to the summit of the Männlichen – to the viewing platform shaped like a crown. The panoramic view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau is simply... regal.
The 297-metre-high waterfall in Lauterbrunnen is the highest free-falling waterfall in Switzerland. It is illuminated during the high season, and in summer you can even view it from behind from a viewing platform.
Grindelwald-First is the adventure peak with views of the north face of the Eiger. The First Cliff Walk offers a spectacular route along the cliffs to a platform suspended over the abyss. Thrilling attractions such as the First Flyer, First Glider, Mountain Carts and Trottibikes provide a real adrenaline rush, whilst hiking trails – such as the one to Lake Bachalp – offer the chance to experience alpine nature.
