Sherlock is back – and here to stay

The spirit of the master detective has been haunting Meiringen for years, and every year at the beginning of May, the legend shines especially bright. Now the aim is to keep that enthusiasm alive all year round. To make it happen, the Sherlock partners – the “Sherlockers” – are creating a shared experience in the Haslital, in the spirit of Sherlock Holmes.

With its new installation, the Alpen Energie Dorfgemeinde Meiringen – which owns and runs this unique museum in the English church – offers visitors a brand-new attraction that also does justice to the English detective’s more recent history. Together with the world’s only replica of the master detective’s sitting room at 221b Baker Street, the museum is a truly immersive experience.

And here’s a little hint: the solution to the 60 cryptic symbols on the bronze statue of Sherlock Holmes in Conan Doyle Square in front of the museum can also be found inside the museum.
