Safe and respectful

  • Stay on the marked via ferrata routes.
  • Check your equipment and secure yourself properly to the steel cable.
  • Only overtake when it is safe to do so, and be considerate of slower climbers.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with other climbers at narrow sections.
  • Do not leave any rubbish behind.
  • Check the weather conditions before setting off and avoid via ferratas during thunderstorms, rain or strong winds.
Equipment

Everything you need for climbing

Appropriate equipment is recommended for via ferrata routes to ensure safety and comfort. This includes a via ferrata set comprising a helmet, climbing harness and lanyard, as well as sturdy footwear with a good tread. It is also advisable to wear weather-appropriate clothing, gloves and to carry sufficient water.
