Jungfrau Region

Walking in a winter wonderland

The Jungfrau region is a magical place to hike. Trek through the snow, beholding the triple peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Go from the Grütschalp to Mürren. Or from the First to the Bachalpsee. Or so many other places! You’re spoilt for choice with routes in the Jungfrau Region. Each one is more beautiful than the last.

RULES

Always follow the hiking rules

If a trail is closed, there is always a good reason. Trail markings are also there for a good reason: to keep you safe. So please, for your own safety, we ask you not to walk on closed trails and not to leave the marked routes. Please also heed any warnings from the avalanche service. And don’t leave any rubbish behind. Take it with you. Nature will thank you.

SIGNS AND SIGNPOSTS

Follow the pink markings

Normally, when hiking, you follow the yellow, white-red-white and white-blue-white markings. But in winter, the well-maintained hiking trails are signposted with pink signs and posts.
