High above the Haslital, at 2250 metres above sea level, the Alpen tower stands majestically. The 360-degree panoramic view is unique. In good weather, you can see over 400 mountain peaks from here. Or to be precise: 401 mountain peaks. And yes, we've done the maths. The journey to the Alpen tower is an experience in itself. First you take the Meiringen - Hasliberg Reuti aerial cableway, then the Hasliberg Reuti - Bidmi - Mägisalp gondola cableway and finally the Mägisalp - Alpen tower gondola cableway. On the way, you can enjoy the unique mountain scenery from the air. Once at the top, you can quench your thirst and hunger in the panoramic restaurant. Freshly fortified, you are then spoilt for choice, as you are in the middle of a spectacular hiking area. Our favourites: The Horizon Trail takes you to Engstlensee.
