The saw in Mühletal near Innertkirchen was still in operation until the middle of the 20th century. The municipality has now restored the saw with great commitment. The aim is to preserve an interesting building from the history of the valley. The Mühletal sawmill has been in working order again for a year now and is open to the public. Thanks to a donation, visitors can now gain an even deeper insight into old technology. Even after 300 years, the oak cogwheels still mesh perfectly.
