Schilthorn Cableway

The Schilthorn Cableway connects the Lauterbrunnen Valley with the spectacular mountain landscape around Mürren, Birg and the Schilthorn. Since the end of 2024, the section between Stechelberg and Mürren has been served by the steepest cableway in the world. Passengers can now reach Mürren in less than four minutes. The cableways in the upper sections have also been extensively rebuilt and modernised. As a result, the total journey time from Stechelberg to the Schilthorn has been reduced from 32 to just 22 minutes.
