Schreckhorn hut SAC
Only through the narrow valley opening to the right of the Eiger can you recognise the "outside world", the Mittelland and the Jura far behind - otherwise all around you are the Bernese Oberland High Alps and imposing glaciers within your grasp. The summer mountain hut behind the Lower Grindelwald Glacier is the starting point for various routes on the Schreckhorn as well as for combined tours and high alpine crossings. The approach is somewhat difficult in places due to frequent landslides.
