Small and large diamond stick
Two very rewarding climbing tours in the Bächli valley
Small Diamantstock
Beautiful, south-facing climbing terrain. From the Bächlitalhütte in the direction of the Bächligletscher to the foot of the Kleiner Diamantstock. From here in approx. 10 pitches to the summit (two routes). The descent then leads slightly to the north of the ridge in an easterly direction over bizarre rubble to the gap and down over scree (watch out for the abseiling point).
Difficulty: 5a and 5a+
Duration: approx. 6 hours
Grosser Diamantstock, east ridge
Alpine climbing in the most beautiful granite. Access is from the Bächlitalhütte via the Bächligletscher to the "Underi Bächlilicken", where the climbing begins. The well-secured route in beautiful granite leads to the summit via the east ridge. The descent is via the SW ridge or up and down the west flank.
Difficulty level: 4a
Duration: approx. 9 hours
