Sustenhorn

The Sustenhorn awaits its visitors with a wonderful panorama. The ascent is considered an easy high-altitude tour in summer, although the glacier is crevassed in places. In late spring, the Sustenhorn is the end of the season for many ski tourers. The ascent of the Gwächtenhorn and Sustenhorn from Hotel Stein glacier in one day serves as a test of form. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can stop off at the Tierbergli hut. On the Bernese side, the ascent is not very steep and glaciated; on the Uri side, the beautiful east ridge is suitable for climbing. Another option is the crossing from the Chli Sustenhorn - a remote high-altitude tour in a wild setting.
