Wengen–Männlichen Cable Car

The cable car connects the mountain village of Wengen with Männlichen and offers a second way to reach the mountain, in addition to the gondola from Grindelwald.

In summer, it carries hikers, families and visitors up to Männlichen, where the Royal Walk and the panoramic views are popular attractions. In winter, it provides access to the ski area as well as winter hiking and sledging trails.

The cable car opened in 1954 and has been renovated several times since then. During the latest renovation in 2018, the cabins were enlarged and equipped with balconies.
