Jungfrau Ski Region – Off the slopes

The longest sledging route in the world, winter hiking in front of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau or cross-country skiing in the valley of 72 waterfalls – even away from the ski and snowboard slopes, you are spoilt for choice in the Jungfrau Ski Region, and your AlpsPass opens the doors to all the highlights of the region.

Long, longer, Big Pintenfritz

One of the longest sledging routes in Europe leads from Faulhorn to Bussalp. However, you will have to put up with a few hardships for the descent – a total of 1,600 metres of altitude difference. With the AlpsPass, you can easily reach the starting point at First, but then the hike begins. The ascent, past the frozen Bachalpsee lake, takes around 2.5 hours. But the effort is worth it, we promise!

You can't get a better panorama when winter hiking

With the AlpsPass, you can discover sunny winter hiking trails high above the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The winter hike from Grütschalp to Mürren offers fantastic views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The world-famous mountain range is visible throughout the entire route. The winter hiking trail winds its way along the sunny slopes and is excellently maintained. You can return to the starting point via the same route – or take the easy option and return by train.

Cross-country skiing in the valley of 72 waterfalls

From Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg, the route leads along the White Lütschine River and past the Trümmelbach Waterfalls, the largest underground waterfalls in Europe. The path between the two alpine villages is lined with no fewer than 72 (!) waterfalls, most of which are frozen in winter.

Take to the ice!

Glide comfortably across the ice on two blades amidst impressive mountain scenery, sink the puck into the opponent's goal in ice hockey or play the stone as accurately as possible into the house in curling – you can literally take to the ice on the artificial ice rinks in Mürren and Wengen.

Snowshoe hiking in a winter wonderland

The route from Wengen to the Leiterhorn offers fantastic views – up to the Jungfrau and the striking, pyramid-shaped Silberhorn, or down into the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Fancy a snowshoe hike but don't have the right equipment? No problem! You can hire all or part of the equipment you need from selected shops – or buy it outright, of course.

From a bird's eye view

In the clutches of an eagle, you fly with the First Glider from the Schreckfeld station to First and back again. With speeds of up to 83 km/h, four people can glide through the air at the same time. An experience not to be missed – and one that you can easily integrate into your winter day thanks to the AlpsPass. And that's just the beginning: at First – Top of Adventure, even more thrilling and adrenaline-fuelled activities await you.
